Adjoining the owners’ home, it sits on their working farm in the attractive village of Sherston just 0.25 mile from shops and inns serving food and 5 miles from Malmesbury’s good shops, gardens and abbey. Cotswold Water Park is within easy reach and Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Burford, Bibury and Oxford are all well worth a visit as are Lacock Abbey and Dyrham Park (NT). Swindon’s famous railway museum and outlet shopping are 20 miles.

Reviews
A very clean, well-maintained holiday cottage: the photos do not do it justice. Spacious living areas. Huge master bedroom and small second and third bedrooms. Modern bathroom and shower room. Fascinating to see the cows outside the window so closely! Can be a bit muddy outside in bad weather, but it is on a working farm. Perfect base for trips to Cirencester, Malmesbury, Tetbury and the Cotswolds. Easy to get to. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely time in the Old Stables. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. The pictures did not do it justice!
The cottage was in close proximity to the village and we enjoyed a nice walk and a good pub lunch!

Discover the quiet charms of Wiltshire’s rolling hills and wide valleys during a break in one of our great choice of holiday cottages in Wiltshire. Much of the county is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it’s ideal for walkers. Cyclists are particularly welcome on the quiet country lanes and designated cycle paths.
There are so many wonderful places to visit in this historic county from ancient druid monuments to magnificent stately homes, fabulous gardens and glorious Georgian towns. All are within easy reach of our holiday cottages in Wiltshire. Stonehenge is one of the world’s great wonders, truly deserving its must-see status but the stone circle at Avebury is just as mysterious. There is also Longleat, famous for its Safari Park and grand Elizabethan house and a great family favourite. Garden-lovers should not miss Stourhead, one of the finest examples of 18th century landscape design, dotted with classical temples. And then there’s the magnificent cathedral at Salisbury, set in a wonderfully preserved medieval close. You’ll also want to explore Wiltshire’s many pretty towns and villages – places like Cosham, with its Georgian houses in Cotswold stone, Bradford-on-Avon, Marlborough, famous for its school, and perfectly preserved Lacock with its famous abbey.
